Dr. Bethlehem Hailu Dejene
Bethlehem Hailu Dejene currently serves as the Dean of Assessments at Charisma University after completing her M.A. and PhD. in Anthropology at Northwestern University. The topic of her dissertation explores religious moral worlds and their encounter with 'modernity' through the discourse of affliction and exorcisms. Her future research prospects will investigate the construction of illness and healing in Ethiopian Orthodox Christian exorcisms through the framework of analytical psychology and Patristics. Her long-term vision is to create a platform where healing practitioners from mostly non-Western traditions find ways to collaborate with depth psychologists and theologians.
