Faculty Bio

Dr. Diont’e Jimerson is originally from Chicago, IL. He attended DeVry University in Chicago, IL, where he obtained a B.S. with a concentration in Business Administration along with completing several graduate level human resources courses; Keller Graduate School of Management, where he obtained a M.B.A. in Business Administration; University of Illinois at Chicago, where he obtained his license to teacher education; and Northcentral University, where he obtained a Ed.D. in Education specializing in eLearning. Dr. Diont’e began his military career enlisting into the United States Army as Ammunition Specialist June of 2000. While on Active Duty he also went to Airborne School in Fort Benning, GA. Dr. Diont’e first and only duty station was the great 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Also, while stationed at Ft. Bragg he had numerous tours of duty. In 2008, Dr. Diont’e got wise and joined the United States Air Force Reserves where he was station in Youngstown Air Force Reserve Base in Youngstown, Ohio. Currently, Dr. Diont’e is in the Air Force National Guard station in Illinois. His job there is a Personalist Specialist. Dr. Diont’e began teaching for Charter Schools and over the years became a Special Education Teacher, Business Owner, Academic Advisor, and a Computer Business Specialist Instructor at a continuing education center where he discovered a love of working with adult learners. Soon after, he began working with college students majoring in business, education and human resources. Dr. Diont’e currently serves as a Special Education Teacher/ Case Manager at Barbara A. Sizemore Academy in Chicago, IL. Over the years he has taught a variety of classes including Business, Human Resources, and Education. Realizing the importance of remaining current in his areas of expertise he attends conferences and is actively conducting research with the goal of publishing articles and writing books. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, and learning new languages.
