Faculty Bio

Francess Monago was admitted as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in January 2012 after graduating from the Nigerian Law School with a Second Class Upper-division. Before attending the Nigerian Law School, she attended the University of Abuja, where she studied Law and was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Laws, equivalent to the United States Juris Doctor (JD), with Second Class Upper-division. Upon graduation from the Nigerian Law School, she began her career in legal practice with the Department of Public Prosecution, Ministry of Justice Port-Harcourt River State Nigeria, where she worked as a public prosecutor for one (1) year. She proceeded to join the law firm of Kola Awodein & Co after that, one of the leading dispute resolution and full-service commercial law firms in Nigeria. At Kola Awodein & Co, Francess was actively involved in Corporate Law practice and Litigation activities. Her key roles were; Litigation, Corporate and Commercial, and offering legal advisory services. Francess left the services of Kola Awodein & Co. in early 2020 to join Charisma University the same year as a lecturer. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and African Women Lawyers Association.
