Jufang Tseng recently graduated from The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., where she received her Ph.D. in Religion and Culture. Before coming to study in the U.S, she received a MA in Religious Studies and a BA in Radio and TV from National Chengchi University in Taiwan. Being originally from Taiwan, she has a strong interest in comparative religious studies, with a focus on Christianity and Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and other Eastern religions. In conjunction with traditional research methods such as historical analysis, she prefers using psychological and anthropological methods in studying religion. A special focus is the study of conversion experiences across various religious spiritualties. When teaching students, she emphasizes the importance of approaching other religions objectively and respectfully, in the spirit of mutual appreciation.
