Faculty Bio

Dr. Julie Summers currently teaches college courses in Communication, Writing, and Business. She also works with a few clients on marketing initiatives. She has been teaching for over 20 years. Prior to teaching, she was an Assistant Vice President in Marketing and Communications at Wells Fargo. Her educational experience includes earning a PhD in Organizational Learning and Human Resource Development from Iowa State University; Specialist Degree in Adult Education/Training and Development from Drake University; Masters in Advertising from Northwestern; and my Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations and Marketing from University of Northern Iowa. She loves teaching because she learns something new each and every day of class. She is able to keep up to date on the news and current events. She sees things differently each day. Outside of work, she spends time with my family, including her five dogs. She works out regularly by completing interval training, running, swimming, or biking. And she tries to smile each day!
