Faculty Bio

Dr. Robert Stojanovic is an Adjunct Faculty at Collin Community College in Frisco Texas since January 2015, also accounting and finance professional for last 15 years holding various leadership and management positions with different organizations in different industries. Dr. Stojanovic was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia on 26 January 1971 where he finished high school, earning a degree in technology. After finishing high school Dr. Stojanovic moved to Germany where he stayed with his relatives until 1998 when he moved to USA. Within first few years after moving to the USA he learned English and enrolled in college started working on his business degree. In 2007 Dr. Stojanovic became citizen of USA and one year later he completed bachelor's degrees in Business Management and Financial Management with National American University. After earning his undergraduate degrees Dr. Stojanovic decided to continue education and started working on his Graduate degree. In 2010 he earned MBA and master's degrees in Management with National American University. In 2011 Dr. Stojanovic started working on his PhD in Business Administration with Capella University. Due to increased responsibilities in his professional career he was forced to postpone his educational goals and focus on his career development. Dr. Stojanovic started working as Adjunct Faculty working for Collin College teaching accounting and financial management for hospitality managers. In January 2016 Dr. Stojanovic enrolled with Colorado Technical University and continued his dream, to complete the doctoral degree. In May 2018 Dr. Stojanovic earned his DBA degree. Short after that he received a new employment offer as corporate controller for multiple organizations with the opportunity to become CFO within next twelve months. In April 2018, Dr. Stojanovic published his qualitative research on emotional intelligence studding how and if hotel managers use emotional intelligence skills to lead their front-line staff. In free time Dr. Stojanovic volunteers as mentor at Collin College talking and advising young students who feel pressured with new responsibilities and time management. He also spends time with his family by doing special family activities together but also, he is also spending time with friends and coworkers in different after work activities. Dr. Stojanovic enjoys taking care of his two cats at home which he rescued fourteen years ago.
