Dr. William Koch
William Koch has over 10 years of teaching experience at the graduate and undergraduate level in economics, business analytics, and statistics, both in the classroom and online. He earned his doctorate in International Economics from the University of California Santa Cruz and undergraduate degrees in Management Science and Political Science from the University of California San Diego (UCSD). Between his undergraduate and graduate education, he spent 7 years as a statistical analyst in behavioral medicine research at UCSD. Dr. Koch’s teaching philosophy is that learning should be collaborative with course material discussion leading to questions and further discussion. He combines theory with real-world events to illustrate topics and encourage debate. Currently Dr. Koch is a research and statistical analysis consultant for educational technology companies and international development firms on a range of projects. He enjoys riding his bike along the southern California coast and playing baroque music on his tenor recorder.
