Course Description

Business Ethics explores various ethical dilemmas in business globally and the foundations for decisions to resolve these ethical issues. As a post-graduate course, MGT 501 adopts a critical perspective that questions how businesses behave amidst rapidly evolving economic times. Students learn the critical perspectives about the moral acceptability of a whole range of business practices that have contributed to or are associated with large-scale dilemmas such as financial crises and the behavior of actors during such events. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in ethical reasoning and ethical theory.
  • Critically analyze ethics as a social critique in studying morality in business.
  • Understand the ethical management of ethics to foster ethical behavior in firms.
  • Critically evaluate the consequences of unethical and ethical business decisions.
