ACCT 840 Internal Controls and Accounting Information System

Accounting information systems support businesses in terms of its processes as well as in decision making. This course explores the role of accounting systems in business transactions, the relevant internal controls, and the use of tools like computers for the collection and organization of data and their subsequent analysis and reporting. The course also touches on the threats associated with the use of online accounting systems.
