This 8-week course includes a 10-day doctoral institute held in Turks and Caicos Islands. The doctoral seminar will challenge students to share their health care experiences with their fellow classmates, and their will be series of students’ presentations. During the 10-day doctoral institute, approximately five faculty members from the School of Health Sciences will present lectures in the health sciences-including global health, epidemiology, nursing sciences along with applications in public health and nursing leadership applications. Additional learning experiences are designed to refine and enhance professional knowledge of each doctoral student in the health sciences. Time will, also, be spent reviewing dissertation writing skills, publications opportunities, software skills, etc. This course is scheduled for the summer months and is required for all doctoral students who have successfully completed the core courses. Students will submit assignments at the end of the 8-week course.
