This course provides students the opportunity to understand cultural diversity through exposure to social systems, cultures, and subcultures, both within the United States and the rest of the world. Through this course, students will apply this knowledge to the HRM context.
- Demonstrate understanding that social and cultural systems develop out of adaptation to environmental and historical circumstances.
- Understand the manners through which race, ethnicity, and/or gender are socially constructed and how this is relevant to organizations.
- Understanding of different views that different cultures may hold over the same issues.
- Critically analyze information and assertions for relevance, bias, stereotyping, manipulation, and completeness and how these impact organizations.
