HRM 648 Research Methods for Human Resource Professionals


This course introduces students to the relevant qualitative and quantitative methods for HR research. Attention is given to applicable metrics in HRM.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Critically discuss what is meant by research in HR and how it contributes to effective policy and practice.
  • Identify the various components of an effective research project and the skills needed to compare different approaches to HR research.
  • Discuss the implications of being a ‘practitioner-researcher.’
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative methods to HR research.
