LL.B 409 Intellectual Property    


This course explores the laws in the areas of trademarks, copyright, and patents. The discussion will also cover the international influences of intellectual property and the outcomes of harmonizing intellectual property and rights at the international level.

  • Understand the role and nature of Intellectual property relative to trademark, copyright, and patents rights, and the key policy issues related to them.
  • Construct recommendations for reform.
  • Apply intellectual property law relative to trademarks, copyright, and patents.

  • Critically analyze legal material and relevant legal issues pertinent to intellectual property in the Commonwealth Countries.
  • Develop competence in using online and offline IP legal resources.
