This course addresses a broad range of research design covering research endeavors in education. After completing the course, students are expected to develop a better understanding of the basic vocabulary of design in educational research, including the basic forms (such as constructivist, post positivist, and critical theory).

- Understand the tools of science used to construct a professional language within the field of education.
- Learn and understand the broad range of research design covering research endeavors in education. Learn about the basic forms — constructivist, post positivist, and critical theory – of design in educational research.
- Define the various types of research in terms of relative strengths and weaknesses and specific tools and techniques of data collection.
- Use existing research in developing a theoretical understanding of the topic.
