MIR 525 Foreign Policy in World Politics

This course introduces students to the core concepts in foreign policy analysis in the world context. Students get to develop their comparative skills of analysis of differing foreign policies in practice today.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Critically analyze the central concepts in foreign policy analysis.
  • Develop the ability to present, substantiate and defend complex arguments.
  • Identify and evaluate the processes involved in foreign policy decision making in the world context.
  • Discuss the contexts, pressures and constraints with which foreign policy makers have to deal.
