In this course the student will gain an understanding of the history of hymnology, those components that make up good hymns, and tools for effective use of congregational hymn-singing in the present day worship service.
Learning Outcomes:
- To introduce students to the initial understanding of the history of hymnology and its mechanisms that make up good hymns.
- To learn the diverse tools for successful use of congregational hymn-singing in the current day of worship service.
- To increase information in knowing what liturgical seasons can grasp what hymns to sing as a congregation during the year.
