Charisma University is proud to announce the selection of Dr. Kristi Dean as the new Associate Provost. Dr. Dean, a distinguished educator with a wealth of experience in various educational settings, brings a dynamic and global perspective to this crucial leadership role.
Dr. Kristi Dean possesses an impressive 12-year teaching career, spanning traditional classrooms, online environments, and international settings. She holds a doctorate in Organizational Business from Capella University, a Master’s in International Business Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Detroit College of Business.
Currently serving as a professor in the Computer Science Department at Central Michigan University and Macomb Community College (Michigan), Dr. Dean has a remarkable record of international teaching experience, including educating students at the University of Shanghai Science and Technology in China. Her dedication to academia extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by delivering over 13 conference presentations in the United States and internationally, including venues like Oxford University, England, and Hong Kong, China.
Roles and Responsibilities as Associate Provost: In her role as Associate Provost, Dr. Kristi Dean will play a pivotal part in the academic leadership and management of the faculty in General Education and Capstone, Thesis, and Dissertation classes. Her responsibilities include coordinating academic planning, resource allocation to academic divisions, and overseeing various academic services. Dr. Dean will work closely with faculty to help them achieve their academic objectives effectively.
Beyond these responsibilities, Dr. Dean will contribute to the development of policies that enhance the effectiveness of the university. She will also serve as a counselor and representative for the university when appropriate.
