This course introduces students to the psychological foundations of education, focusing on theory, research, and practice. Through this course, students learn about learning theories, learners’ characteristics, intelligence, language, memory, motivation, individual differences, engagement, and inclusive and special education. This course emphasizes human learning, making it appropriate for education students

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand key theories in psychology and how each influences educational processes.
  • Analyze students’ characteristics and how this influences their learning and academic performance.
  • Understand how to establish a learning community wherein students’ individual differences are respected.
  • Determine the impacts of different instructional strategies on learning outcomes.
