This course introduces students to principles, theories, and practice in guidance and counselling in education. Through this course, students can identify needs for guidance and counselling at the K-12 level. In this course, students not only learn to apply theoretical knowledge of guidance and counselling to everyday situations in the classroom but also learn teachers’ counselling skills. Consequently, students learn how to hone their ability for active listening, reflect on students’ problems, and help students identify and select potential solutions to their problems.
