Course Description

This course introduces students to vocational guidance to prepare them to help their future students choose and prepare for a suitable vocation. Through this course, students learn about vocational education, career development theory, and counseling and guidance theory to help their future sense gain a sense of meaning about vocational education, training, and placement. Topics covered in this course include knowledge and competencies in vocational education, measuring performance, vocational education teachers and trainers, and challenges in the field.   • Gain knowledge about vocational education and training.
  • Critically analyze concepts, models, and theories governing vocational education, training, and placement.
  • Apply principles and functions of guidance and counselling to support future students’ needs.
