Course Description

This course provides students with detailed insight into human development and learning within an education paradigm for children and young adolescents. This course emphasizes human development in psychology and the critical points for learning. This allows students to develop their understanding of the human growth process relative to the diverse learning styles and needs of children from birth through to young adolescence. Topics in this course are organized into theories that inform current knowledge about development and learning and how such theories and research inform teaching and learning within the contexts of rapidly changing environments.
