Course Description

BSN 401 Person-Centered Nursing Practice examines theories, frameworks, and policies that focus on humanizing the nursing care experience. Through this course, students learn how to deliver nursing care at a level and approach that treats people, particularly patients and their families, as individuals. Students explore person-centered care and the accompanying respect for rights as a person, building mutual trust and understanding, and developing therapeutic relationships. This course emphasizes a standard of care that reﬂects these principles and how these principles are applied to nursing care practice.
