Course Description

BSN 405 Integrated Health Care brings together the evidence of the key concepts, management elements, and tools implemented internationally to enhance integrated care. This course teaches students how integrated care optimizes the interface between different sectors and professional groups from the patient’s perspective. Students learn methods, models, and frameworks for providing the right care at the right time by the appropriate service providers in a timely manner, irrespective of organizational boundaries or financial issues. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the conceptual basis and characteristics of integrated care.
  • Learn and discuss the different management aspects of integrated care that vary significantly across different systems.
  • Critically analyze the processes and tools that facilitate integrated care involving different sectors and professional groups.
