Course Number: CHEM 110
Credit(s): 3

Course Description

CHEM 110 Introduction to Chemistry provides students with a unifying molecular view of the core elements of contemporary physical chemistry. Through this course, students obtain a topically connected and focused development storyline about molecules that leads them through the major areas of modern physical chemistry. In this approach, students learn that physical chemistry provides a coherent framework for chemical knowledge, from the molecular to the macroscopic level.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the core elements of contemporary physical chemistry.
  • Solve problems in physical chemistry through the use of the appropriate methodologies.
  • Demonstrate procedures and methods applied in analytical, computational, and practical tasks of physical chemistry.
