Course Description

COM 210 Business Communication I delves into the linguistic approaches to business communication. This course brings together various strands of research, ranging from traditional methods in Languages for Special Purposes to the influence of culture on business communication. In particular, this course explores the various genres of business communication, including business presentations, negotiations, and meetings; sales talk and sales training; business letters to email and mobile communication; company websites; intercultural business communication; and new media in teaching and learning business languages.
