Course Description

ECON 230 Consumers and Behavioral Economics examines consumer culture and its links with economics, particularly behavioral economics and political economics. Through this course, students learn about the universal characteristics of consumer behavior and the common factors that cause them to behave in different ways in different settings. The intention here is to understand and predict consumers’ behaviors, their economic impacts, and the political and economic forces that influence consumer behaviors. (Formerly ECON 230 Consumer Economics)
