Course Description

ECON 321 Macroeconomic Policy Analysis explores “The New Macroeconomics,” an emergent subfield in macroeconomic theory and policy that focuses on new global realities, post-crisis economic challenges, and other issues frequently ignored in the past. Through this course, students learn macroeconomic modeling with extensive applicability to policymaking, from the global financial system to the economic impacts of climate change and environmental pollution and to pressing issues of inequality. (Formerly ECON 321 Principles of Macroeconomics). COURSE PRE-REQUISITES, CO-REQUISITES, AND/OR OTHER RESTRICTIONS: ECON 310 Intermediate Macroeconomics Theory
