Course Description

HRM 207 Human Resource Management and Staffing Strategies explores strategic employee recruitment and selection that align with business objectives. In particular, students learn a longer-term approach to strategic staffing and strategic workforce planning to achieve business goals. In this course, students learn essential strategic staffing processes, including defining staffing requirements, identifying and forecasting staffing availability, calculating staffing gaps and surpluses, and developing staffing strategies and plans that eliminate those staffing gaps and surpluses effectively and efficiently. (Formerly HRM 207 Human Resource Development and Staffing Strategies)
