Course Description

HRM 415 Employee Engagement explores practical approaches at the organizational level to facilitate the engagement of employees in developing and executing organizational renewal initiatives such as strategy and change. This course emphasizes that effective engagement can only take place within the context of strong leadership. This course also examines employee engagement at the individual level, with emphasis on the capabilities necessary to equip leaders and managers to engage people effectively. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify and define the meaning of employee engagement and its various elements.
  • Learn and discuss evidence-based approaches to employee engagement at the individual and organizational levels.
  • Understand effective leadership in the context of employee engagement.
