Course Description

HRM 429 Strategic Human Resource Management focuses on strategic human resource management (SHRM) to increase business performance. This course teaches students how to develop and align business strategy and HRM processes, including staffing, talent management, performance management, compensation, succession, development, and training. The term SHRM is used in this course to distinguish these processes from other HR processes that are more administrative in nature. (Formerly HRM 429 Strategic Management in Human Resources)
