Course Description

MKT 411 Negotiation and Conflict Management examines evidence-based strategies and techniques of mutuality in negotiations as the way forward in resolving and managing conflicts. This course teaches students how to model, adopt, and inspire mutual satisfaction in negotiations to achieve win-win outcomes. This course also covers the requisite hard skills in negotiating needed to develop and implement strategies during conflicts and soft skills that facilitate cultivating positive and productive relationships amidst conflict negotiations.  

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the mutuality approach in conflict negotiations, including its evidence-based strategies and techniques.
  • Learn how to model, adopt, and inspire mutual satisfaction in negotiations to achieve win-win outcomes.
