This course introduces students to a global perspective on corporate bankruptcy law. Although emphasis is given to the United States, this course’s global perspective adequately prepares students of paralegal studies for a broad range of legal issues and remedies pertaining to bankruptcy. Through this course, students adopt an analytical and practical approach to bankruptcy laws. Doing so provides deep insight into various topics, such as corporate insolvency legislations, corporate rehabilitation proceedings, informal workouts, employee rights, creditor protection, judicial and administrative institutions, and the cross-border insolvency proceedings.
