Course Description

In this course, students will be introduced to the statistical concepts and analytical methods commonly used in the analysis of data within the fields of biotechnology and biomedical sciences. The focus will be on fundamental aspects of experimental design, statistical inferences, and the quantitative analysis of data.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop familiarity with the use of SPSS software for statistical analysis.
  • Learn to identify and apply the appropriate statistical procedures for various types of data and research scenarios.
  • Acquire the skills to accurately interpret the results of hypothesis testing in a scientific context.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the uses, capabilities, and limitations of different statistical procedures used in biotechnology and biomedical sciences.
